About Liz Longley
Liz’s inspiration to create the Balanced Lifestyle and Wellbeing Journal was born out of frustration at not being able to find the perfect notebook or journal to suit her needs. She spent several years trying to improve her personal wellbeing and lead a more balanced lifestyle, whilst wondering why she needed to use three different notebooks to be able to achieve this.
Liz read a vast number of self-help books during that time, while searching for yet another inspirational notebook in which to draw tables and columns to help realign various elements of her life. Studying for further qualifications, as well as training for endurance events required a written record of her goals, progress and achievements.
Her second source of inspiration stemmed from the number of people who asked her how she had stayed motivated in pursuing her goals, and her realisation that her answer was always - “Buy a notebook and write it down!”
Liz’s digitally minded son also inspired her desire to provide others with a quality motivational tool and a platform to help track personal aspirations and growth. She observed that her son’s determination to succeed in building his own business was rooted by starting each day with a pen and a notebook and concluded that committing goals to paper served as a better tracker than any app or fitness device.
In her son’s own words, “You can swipe or change your screen, but when you write it down on paper, it stays with you and you still see it.”
